TEAM FEROCITY

The Ferocity Team was founded in 2009 by Head Coach Sebastian Kozok. We are Monaghan's #1 fighting team with an extensive list of competitors and medalists. Our academy is open to everyone at any age, we have people training on a daily basis from age 4 - 70, all genders and all ethnicities. We believe in helping everyone achieve their goals, and having fun while they work towards them. We work hard on making sure the gym has a friendly and welcoming enviroment from the moment you step in the door and will help you however we can on your journey. From our anti Bullying programme with kids, to ensuring no Egos, Racism, ageism or sexism are present we are always focused on creating a tight knit and friendly Gym. Wheter you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, we are here to work with you, support you and build friendships and memories to last a lifetime. Sebastian has been training in Martial Arts since he was 10. He began Judo in one of the best Polish gyms and home of the first Polish Double Gold Olympic Judo medalists Waldemar Legien. After a few years on the mats young Sebastians fascination with Martial Arts quickly grew. As a teen he began kickboxing. Training and competing for over 8 years he had great results and achievements. Unfortunately Sebastian suffered a serious spinal injury which required multiple surgeries, forcing him to pause his fighting career for 10 years. UFC and Jiu Jitsu grew in popularity and relit the fire in him to return to Martial Arts. After moving to Ireland, Sebastian began training in Jiu Jitsu and MMA. He travelled every day to train under some of the best Black Belt Coaches in the country - Sebastian Torres, Andre Ramos Zavatini, Cesar Morcegao, Santos Rodriguez and his long time friend and mentor Mariusz Domasat. After 13 years of training Sebastian has received his BJJ BLACK BELT from Berserkers Team Poland Head Coach Piotr "Bagi" Bagiński . In 2009 the first Team Ferocity studio was opened on Convent Hill in Carrickmacross, from there the team began to grow quickly. Since then there have been multiple MMA and BJJ fighters and champions in both our kid and adult divisions. Aged 34 Sebastian himself returned to the competition and ring winning multiple BJJ Gold Medals in local and international tournaments. He has Professional MMA titles ( 8 professional fights) and has taken part in Cage Conflict, Ultimate warriors, Clan wars and the BRAVE Fighting Championship. On top of this he has BJJ and grappling medals in ADCC, International London and NAGA Ireland Absolute division amoung many others. All of this experience makes Sebastian's Coaching style unique and effective. His passion for training and teaching others has put Team Ferocity and Carrickmacross on the map of Irish fighting shows and Martial Arts academies.
